No. You can choose Nock Free directly, without starting or cancelling a paid subscription. A card is only requested for the separate one-day agent trial, for verification.
Yes. On Mac and Windows, your own speech key lets you dictate without a paid Nock plan. Any provider charges are yours. Speech keys enable dictation only; they don’t unlock tool calls, builds or background workers. Free chat is available separately when you sign in.
The trial ends automatically. No charge, and nothing to cancel. Nock Free chat and dictation stay available. Choose a paid plan if you’d like to keep using the agent.
Nock Free is $0/month for chat and dictation, with daily limits on cloud features. Agent plans start at $10 per month. Bring your own agent model keys from $50 per month, with that usage billed directly by your provider. You choose and confirm a paid plan before subscription billing begins.
On a paid plan, agent work, included cloud dictation and spoken replies share one allowance. Free on-device dictation does not use that allowance. Nock Free cloud features have their own daily limits, shown in the app. Limits apply over rolling five-hour, seven-day and 30-day windows. If you reach any limit, included usage pauses until enough earlier usage falls outside that window. Higher plans include more usage.
No. Downloading Nock and starting your free day don’t start a paid subscription. A paid plan begins only when you choose one and confirm it in the app.
They share a similar idea: an assistant that can work across your computer. But they’re separate products. Violoop is designed around a physical device. Nock runs on your Mac, bringing together voice, computer use, connected apps and an engineering agent without extra hardware.
We’ve talked about a physical Nock device, but haven’t shipped one. You don’t need one to use Nock.
Nock can work with tools such as Claude Code, Codex and Grok Bot. Those tools use their own accounts and billing; a Nock plan does not replace their subscriptions.
The website has a help chat and scripted demos. Building projects and controlling your computer happen in the installed Mac app.
